The EFY Awards were given in 26 different product categories. EFY Group also announced 'Lifetime Achievement Award’, 'Electronics Man Of The Year' award, 'Electronics Organization Of The Year' award and 'Special Jury Award' to recognise excellence in contribution to the Indian electronics industry. V.N. Dhoot, chairman and managing director of Videocon Group, was adjudged the 'Electronics Man Of The Year'. Nokia walked away with the 'Electronics Organisation Of The Year' award, while 'Special Jury Award' went to Deepak Puri, managing director of Moser Baer.
