On 1st of June, 2008, Renesas Technology Singapore Pte. Ltd. announced the winners for Renesas R8C Tiny MCU Design Contest, which was held in India.
The contest is aimed at encouraging the development of innovative and creative applications for Renesas products, Renesas R8C/13 MCU. As per Renesas officials, the contest has generated interest in India MCU design development community and attracted many innovative design entries. The excellent projects submitted by the participants had posed enormous challenge for our judges to pick out the winners. The top winner, Mr. Roshy M John, has won himself top two prizes for his two projects, Robotic Community for Automation & Security and Portable Washing Machine. He has demonstrated his design capability by effectively applying the Renesas R8C Tiny MCU to achieve the optimised usage in his projects. The rest of the winners have also been awarded for their innovation to create solid designs that allow us to be – Everywhere you imagine. The top three winners have been rewarded with top brand laptops while every honourable winner has won an iPod player.
