With an extended temperature range of -40 degrees Celsius to +120 degrees Celsius, the solution is ideal for industrial applications and supports the ever-growing and ubiquitous requirements for authentication. Use cases include single-use disposables for HVAC and water filters, rechargeable batteries for portable devices, light electric vehicles as well as computing and robotic systems in highly complex eMobility, industrial and IoT environments.

OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT comes in a robust package of 1.5 x 1.5 x 0.38 mm3, optimised for size-restricted devices and applications. It supports four ECC authentication modes: one-way, mutual, host binding and host support. Designers can select from three temperature ranges, two communication profiles, three sets of memory and four integrated secured decremental counters with secured lifecycle management, capless LDO and robust ESD protection. Furthermore, OPTIGA Authenticate IDoT provides unique on-chip turnkey digital certificates and key pairs.

Evaluation and development kits simplify the integration of the security solutions along with full SDK, host code library and C-base application interface (AIP) to offer a strong platform for easy application testing. These tools are based on the latest PSoC 6 BLE prototyping kit with full programmer and debugger, BLE and Wi-Fi capabilities.

Samples are available now from Infineon Technologies AG.
