- Anritsu launches a newer version of its MT1000A communication tester, the MT1040A
- This portable equipment helps in evaluating the quality of high-speed networks
Fulfiling the need for a portable 400G Ethernet tester that can support and maintain 400G Ethernet networks, Anritsu Corporation has introduced the Network Master Pro MT1040A for 400G networks. Besides supporting 400G Ethernet, this new battery-powered tester with directly mounted QFSP-DD optical modules also has a simultaneously installable 10M-to-100G interface for access, metro, mobile fronthaul/backhaul and data centre transmission quality tests (BER, throughput, frame loss, and latency measurements), while the easy-to-use GUI, remote-control-over-network option, and auto-test functions add-up to a tester with unparalleled measurement efficiency.
Maintains high-speed communication
Anritsu had previously launched its popular MT1000A tester supporting communication speeds up to 100 Gbps for networks and data centres. The new MT1040A 400G Ethernet tester inherits its predecessor’s easy usability while adding new functions for even more efficient testing, installation and maintenance of faster networks up to 400G speeds.
The 400G Network Master Pro MT1040A is a portable tester for evaluating the quality of the communication of networks operating at speeds from 10 Mbps to 400 Gbps. Always-on Forward Error Correction (FEC) helps in achieving 400G Ethernet speeds. With built-in FEC analysis functions, the MT1040A is the ideal tester for evaluating the communications quality of optical modules, such as QSFP-DD and the performance of 400G devices. At the same time, installation of any of the optional MU100020A/MU100021A/MU100022A/MU100023A OTDR modules supports measurement of optical fibre lines for fault troubleshooting.
- The all-in-one MT1040A supports evaluation of Ethernet, OTN, eCPRI/RoE/CPRI/OBSAI, Fibre Channel, and SDH/SONET networks using BER, throughput, frame loss, and latency measurements of mixed networks, based on the latest optical to earlier digital communications standards.
- Standalone automatic testing and Pass/Fail evaluations are supported without requiring an external controller such as PC; even unskilled operators can perform consistent network testing, accurate evaluations, and report creation.
Target markets: Communications carriers, and network installation and maintenance companies.
Applications: Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of communications networks and data centres.
