1. Cocktail Vending Machine
How about this Inebriator mixing your favorite drinks for you? This machine is a robotic bartender that can automatically pour 15 different cocktails that are programmed previously and this is done with 9 different liquors and 7 mixers on board. So you see there’s something for everyone.
2. Plot Clock
Although this is project just a clock, but it’s too cool to miss this list. This plot clock made by Francisco Ramos Muñoz uses 3 mini servo motors. One of these move the draw/erase mechanism up and down while other two move the print location. Francisco has also used a Arduino microcontroller to control the system.
3. MIT Cheetah Robot
The Biomimetic Robotics Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge has been created this robotic wonder known as MIT Cheetah Robot. In experiments on an indoor track, the robot sprinted up to 10 mph, even continuing to run after clearing a hurdle. The MIT researchers estimate that the current version of the robot may eventually reach speeds of up to 30 mph.
The secret lies in the programming algorithms of the robot’s legs to exert a certain amount of force in the split second during which it hits the ground, in order to maintain a given speed: In general, the faster the desired speed, the more force must be applied to propel the robot forward.
4. Spooky Halloween Door Knocker
This awesome project uses Arduino Pro Mini as its brain and it powered by AA batteries. There’s a PIR motion sensor mounted on the forehead of idol to send a signals to the arduino on person’s arrival. LEDs have been used to glow the eyes using a nice smooth but quick ramp on done using one of the PWM pins on the microcontroller. You can fix a servo motor in the project and connect it to a single spare I/O of the controller to make automatic knocking work.
