Your Tasks
- Design and develop electronic hardware components while complying with product specifications and quality guidelines
- Perform troubleshooting and debugging to optimize the hardware functionality and reliability
- Create prototypes and evaluate the design for compliance with measurement standards and operational requirements
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate the hardware and software systems
- Prepare all relevant hardware documents including diagrams, manuals, and instructions
- Conduct simulations and tests to ensure durability, efficiency, and safety under different conditions
- Present design reviews and demonstrations for stakeholders
- Work closely with manufacturing support teams to ensure regulatory and cost effectiveness in product design
- Stay updated on recent technological advancements, latest industry trends, and competitor hardware products
- Monitor and ensure the hardware systems’ performance and resolve any issue that arises
- Support systems’ installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Ensure all electronic hardware developed adheres to the environmental, safety, and health regulations
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience in hardware electronics design and development, preferably in a similar industry.
- Expert with electronic design automation (EDA) tools like Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.
- Deep understanding of electronic circuits, microprocessors, and digital and analog systems.
- Proficiency with hardware debugging techniques and tools, such as oscilloscopes and logic analysers.
- Strong knowledge of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design principles, and familiarity with PCB layout tools.
- Experience in designing and testing complex electronics assemblies.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills coupled with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable way.
- Comfortable working in a team-based environment and coordinating with other departments on design, testing and problem-solving scenarios.
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends, technology and standards in hardware electronics.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
