Motor Driver Targets Industrial Control Systems

A low voltage motor driver line-up aims to simplify industrial automation and smart appliances with integrated diagnostics and improved efficiency. How?

NOVOSENSE Showcases New Low-Voltage Motor Driver Portfolio for Industrial and Smart Appliance Applications at PCIM Europe 2026

NOVOSENSE has introduced a new low voltage motor driver portfolio aimed at industrial automation systems, smart appliances, and intelligent terminal devices. The lineup includes H bridge motor drivers and smart low side driver ICs designed to improve integration, reduce system complexity, and enhance diagnostic capability in motor control applications.

The primary benefit of the portfolio lies in system simplification. Integrated current sensing removes the need for external resistors, while built in diagnostics enable real time monitoring of voltage, temperature, and load conditions. This reduces external component count and supports more compact PCB designs, particularly in space constrained applications.

From a performance standpoint, the NSD7305 and NSD7308 H bridge drivers support high current operation with configurable slew rate control and spread spectrum clocking to reduce electromagnetic noise. Protection features such as overcurrent, overtemperature, and short circuit detection improve system reliability in industrial environments.

A smaller footprint driver, the NSD7309, targets compact applications such as smart home devices and robotics, offering integrated current regulation and multiple protection layers within a single channel design.

For industrial control systems, the NSD5614 and NSD5624 smart low side drivers extend functionality to multi channel configurations. These devices support SPI based communication, channel parallelisation for higher current output, and daisy chain capability to reduce isolation requirements in complex control architectures.

Across the portfolio, the design emphasis is on integration, protection, and scalable control. By combining diagnostics, communication interfaces, and power stages in a single device family, the solution enables more efficient motor control system design across both industrial and consumer domains.
