A “fuse tap” is an electrical component that acts as a power splitter and is intended to be inserted in the fuse box of a vehicle. The end of the tap resembles a fuse. Instead of the original fuse, this end is inserted in the fuse slot. The tap contains a “box” with a slot where the original fuse should be placed to provide the original functionality.
