    Commonly,for measuring the diameter of a DC power connector, you have to measure the external diameter across the insulating ring.The internal diameter (across the hole) is typically smaller and is less relevant when determining compatibility with your device.

    So replacing the connector on your DC power adapter for the radio, you should measure the external diameter across the insulating ring.

    L293D is a motor driver designed to control DC motors. It is not suitable for controlling servo motors because servo motors require a different type of control signal.

    Servo motors require a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal to control it with their position. Which specifies the shaft position of the servo motors. Since L293D motor driver does not generate PWM signals that is reason not controling servo motor control.
