Position Overview
AEPL is one of the fastest-growing automotive product company and is looking for a PCB Designer to design schematics and PCB layout for automotive products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborating with an electrical engineer to create schematics.
- Build and maintain part libraries as per IPC, following the defined processes, ensuring they are complete and correct.
- Designing and developing high-quality PCB layouts for automotive electronic products.
- Communicate with HW, mechanical engineering departments, and manufacturers during project execution and for seamless integration of PCB designs.
- Conducting design reviews and implementing best practices for PCB layout and manufacturing.
- Generating Gerber files, assembly drawings, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Work with vendors and manufacturers for PCB fabrication and assembly
- Optimising designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Performing electrical testing and troubleshooting to validate PCB designs.
- Staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PCB design.
- Conduct design feasibility studies to identify layout-related trade-offs on packaging, cost, manufacturing, and system performance for the engineering design team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.E., B.Tech, MSc. , M. Tech) in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 2-6years of experience in PCB design with ORCAD, preferably in a mid-senior level role.
- Strong understanding of PCB layout techniques, signal integrity, Power integrity, Thermal and EMC/EMI considerations.
- Experience with high-speed digital design and RF/microwave PCB layouts is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards and manufacturing processes for PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Familiar with impedance-controlled circuits, layer stack-up trade-offs and panel optimisation.
- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC 2221, IPC 7351, IPC 2152)
- IPC certification is a plus
- Familiar with DFx- DFA, DFM & DFT standards
- Signal integrity and Power integrity tool knowledge, such has Hyperlynx or any other tool is plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
