Major Accountabilities
- Good Knowledge of selection and use of all wiring harness components according to properties like material type, temperature class etc.
- Good knowledge of vehicle architecture/topology
- Good knowledge of DFMEA
- Good knowledge of Boundary Diagram and Parameter diagram
- Good knowledge of various functions of vehicle and intended/unintended electrical and mechanical connections and energy transfers
- In-depth knowledge of the wiring harness design process
- Good knowledge of the wiring harness manufacturing process
- Good knowledge of the Harness assembly/installation process at OEM
- Good knowledge of DVP&R
- Good knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
- Good knowledge of automotive industry core tools like: Technical Design review and Change management
- Good knowledge of problem resolving and root cause analysis techniques
- Basic knowledge of PFMEA
- Familiar with the electrical and electronic parts of the vehicle
