You will be working as Lifecycle Service Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries division based out at Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Digital Solution Engineering Manager and will be primarily responsible for coordinating and facilitating development, implementation and successful on-boarding of digital solutions, adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment together with its operations and maintenance. Providing assistance in supporting the use of products with the goal of improving productivity and efficiency. Testing and troubleshooting the final system setup. Ensuring a successful rollout by training and re-training customers to understand the software and its benefits. Exhibiting an understanding of how to best configure and implement software. Confirming all resources are in place to implement software on-time and on budget. Providing ongoing support and services.
Your responsibilities
- Delivering service in direct contact with customer or through remote connection, maintaining the best performance of the installed solution using tuning or modeling techniques, process understanding and dialog with customer
- Implementing changes to the software to fit the process needs and carry ad-hoc customer training
- Building and presenting performance report to customer and provide advice when needed
- Supporting the process performance project team in delivering advanced process control solution
- Bring up feedback or bugs from the field to the organization to help us drive software development
- Understanding the customer’s challenges and pain points to help us drive the service offering
Your background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering from a reputed university
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in control tuning and control engineering from process industries (oil and gas, cement, pulp, paper, metal and mining)
- Hands on experience or at least a basic knowledge on DCS / PLC / SCADA system
- Experience in delivering support or service on control solution in the industry
