Purpose Of The Job

• Ensuring production of all Train Design deliverables (Carbody Shell, Mechanical Integration, General Studies and Transverse Disciplines) in compliance with the QCD commitments.
• Coordinating different TD contributors on Project.

Engineering: Design team (TxE, MLE, DLE), Validation team

Project: Project Engineering Manager (PrEM), Project Industrial Manager (PrIM), Project Sourcing Manager (PrSM), Project Planning

Manager (PrPM), ILS Manager, Costing Manager.

Participating Units & CoE: Mechanical Lead Engineers (MLE) counterparts on the corresponding project(s)/program(s)

External Interface : Customers, Suppliers

S&A Domain Leader

Other reporting to: NA

Main Responsibilities

• Good knowledge on Railway industry
• Electrical Rolling Stock experience in Metro,Light rail,EMU vehicles
• Knowledge of Traction,door control, communication and other rolling stock systems
• Shall be able to Understand vehicle architecture
• Understand the Train Layouts
• Preparing the vehicle layouts with defined locations
• Co-ordinate with Internal & External stake holders such as train design, train systems, 3D team, suppliers etc..
• Good Knowledge on Harness design, Wiring/Integrated/CPS schematics
• Basic understanding the concepts of wiring requirements
• Developing Harness Layouts/Synoptic
• Knowledge on interface requirements
• Selection of Electrical equipment, switchgear, protection equipment, Knowledge of CB, Relays, contactors, connectors, terminals etc..
• Performing Cable sizing calculations based on load requirements
• Component selection & sizing
• Supporting production, Testing team for issue closure
• Knowledge on change management activities
• Knowledge on railway standards
• Experience in CAD tools (E3S, AutoCAD)
• Shall be a good team player
• Self-Motivated and enthusiastic
• Travel as needed, based on project requirement.
