A new rectangular connector series delivers reliable board-to-board connectivity for electronic designs, with up to 40-pin configurations and standard PCB compatibility.

The interconnect market has gained a new family of rectangular connectors designed to address a wide range of board-to-board connection requirements in electronic equipment. The newly launched series from Same Sky (formerly CUI Devices) includes male pin headers, female pin headers, and box headers, offering engineers multiple options for system integration and PCB connectivity.
Available in both single-row and dual-row configurations, the connectors support pin counts ranging from one to 40 positions. The product family is aimed at applications requiring dependable electrical connections while maintaining compatibility with standard PCB layouts. With a 2.54 mm pitch and gold-flash contact finishes, the connectors are engineered to provide stable signal transmission and enhanced contact reliability.
The key features are:
- Through-hole PCB mounting
- Push-pull connector retention
- 6 mm mating contact length
- 3 mm PCB post length
- Immediate availability through distribution channels
The series features straight-pin designs and through-hole mounting, making the components suitable for a variety of manufacturing and assembly processes. Push-pull fastening mechanisms further simplify installation while ensuring secure connections during operation.
From an electrical standpoint, the connectors are rated for voltages up to 250 Vdc and currents up to 3 A. Mechanical specifications include a mating contact length of 6 mm and a post contact length of 3 mm. The devices are also designed to operate across a broad temperature range from -40°C to 105°C, enabling use in demanding industrial and commercial environments.
The product line targets designers seeking cost-effective interconnect solutions for embedded systems, control electronics, industrial equipment, consumer devices, and other PCB-based applications. By offering multiple pin-count options, standardised spacing, and durable contact finishes, the new connectors provide flexibility for both prototyping and production deployments. The rectangular connector family is available immediately through distribution channels, with lead times ranging from stock availability to approximately eight weeks depending on configuration.
