Amphenol RF has announced the addition of the HD-EFI bullet tool to its portfolio of insertion and extraction tools. The tool is designed to help engineers maintain the integrity of critical RF interfaces by enabling precise installations. It supports controlled insertion and removal, which helps avoid misalignment and reduces the risk of damage to sensitive RF systems. By simplifying the installation process, the tool helps save time in both production and testing environments.

The HD-EFI bullet tool can be used by RF engineers, manufacturing technicians, test engineers, and maintenance teams who work with RF connectors and interface systems. In manufacturing environments such as assembly lines, it helps ensure consistent and repeatable connector installation. This improves build quality and reduces rework. In lab testing setups, engineers can use the tool to perform multiple insertion and extraction cycles without affecting the performance of the interface. It also supports troubleshooting and validation tasks where connectors need to be handled carefully. For maintenance teams, the tool enables safe removal and replacement of components during servicing, helping avoid signal loss or connection issues.

The tool is compatible with both machined and stamped versions of the HD-EFI bullet. It features a nickel-plated beryllium copper slotted body, along with nickel-plated brass bodies and flanges made from Delrin. These material choices support durability and repeated use while maintaining the precision required for RF applications. The overall design focuses on providing a reliable and practical solution for engineers working with critical RF connections across manufacturing, testing, and maintenance workflows.
