Two tech firms merge data converters and ASIC solutions for wireless communication and digital beamforming applications.
Omni Design Technologies, a provider of high-performance, energy-efficient data acquisition and signal-processing technologies, and EnSilica, a provider of bespoke ASIC design and supply services, have declared a deepening of their partnership. This expansion of their joint efforts will see Omni Design’s Swift multi-gigahertz data converters and associated cores being integrated into EnSilica’s ASIC solutions, which are designed for wireless communications and digital beamforming applications.
Key contributions from Omni Design Technologies to this partnership include their 12-bit data converters capable of exceeding 8 GSPS, available in several process nodes such as 16nm and 7nm. Additionally, the company will provide process, voltage, and temperature monitors from its OmniTRUST platform.
