The rectifiers deliver power, save space, and improve efficiency. Suitable for automotive, telecom, and industrial use with inspection support and high-temperature operation.

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has introduced 27 new surface-mount rectifiers—standard and Trench MOS Barrier Schottky (TMBS)—in the compact DFN33A package with wettable flanks. These rectifiers are designed for commercial, industrial, telecom, and automotive use, offering space-saving, high-efficiency performance. Vishay’s standard devices are the first in this package size with current ratings up to 6 A, while the TMBS versions lead the industry with ratings up to 9 A. Voltage options range from 60 V to 200 V for TMBS and up to 600 V for standard types. Automotive Grade versions are AEC-Q101 qualified.
Part of Vishay’s Power DFN family, the DFN33A package measures just 3.3 mm x 3.3 mm with a low profile of 0.88 mm. This makes it 44% smaller than the traditional SMB (DO-214AA) and 20% smaller than SMPA (DO-220AA), while being significantly thinner. Despite the small size, these rectifiers feature an optimized copper design and advanced die placement for improved thermal performance, supporting higher current operation.
These devices target applications such as low voltage, high frequency inverters, DC/DC converters, freewheeling diodes, and protection circuits in PoE systems and baseband antennas. They support high-temperature operation up to +175 °C, and their low forward voltage drop and leakage current help improve system efficiency. Wettable flanks enable automatic optical inspection (AOI), removing the need for X-ray checks.
Designed for automated placement, the rectifiers meet MSL level 1 per J-STD-020 and withstand a reflow peak of 260 °C. They are RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and use matte tin-plated leads that meet JESD 201 class 2 for whisker resistance.
Samples and production quantities of the new standard and TMBS rectifiers in the DFN33A package are available immediately, with lead times of eight weeks.
