Unified Power Design Platform

A new suite of web-based design tools integrates planning, simulation, and optimization into a single workflow, redefining how engineers approach complex power architectures.

Analog Devices has unveiled a comprehensive design ecosystem aimed at transforming the way engineers create, simulate, and optimize power systems. The new Power Studio family unifies the company’s well-known desktop and web-based design platforms into an integrated environment that covers every stage—from concept planning to final validation.

At the center of this initiative are two new web-based tools, Power Studio Planner and Power Studio Designer, designed to make power design faster, smarter, and more collaborative. The Planner helps engineers visualize and model entire system-level power architectures, while the Designer tool focuses on IC-level supply design, offering guided workflows, intelligent component recommendations, and accurate performance simulations.

As systems grow more power-dense—with multiple interdependent voltage domains—traditional design tools often struggle to keep pace. Power Studio tackles this complexity by providing real-time modeling, efficiency analysis, and automated outputs like bills of materials and performance reports. This integration enables engineering teams to make architecture decisions earlier, shorten design cycles, and minimize costly rework.

The Power Studio Planner allows users to map their power trees interactively, analyze power loss, and assess efficiency trade-offs before committing to hardware. Its modern interface combines intuitive visualization with parametric search and comparison capabilities for better, data-driven design choices.

  • Integrated into Analog Devices’ roadmap for connected, simulation-driven power design
  • Complements established tools like LTpowerCAD, LTpowerPlay, and EE-Sim
  • Ensures full compatibility and seamless workflow for existing users

Meanwhile, Power Studio Designer extends this capability to the IC level, providing simulation-ready models compatible with LTspice and SIMPLIS. Engineers can configure supply parameters, estimate efficiency, and simulate real-world performance—all within the browser.

Available now, Power Studio Planner and Power Studio Designer mark the first step toward a more integrated future in power management design—one where engineers can move seamlessly from system concept to silicon-level optimization within a unified, intelligent platform.
