Quectel Wireless Solutions has launched the FCE870Q, a compact wireless module built on Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, aimed at applications that need fast, low-latency connectivity such as OTT platforms, high-resolution video streaming, and AR/VR experiences. The module supports peak data rates of up to 5.8Gbps, with a focus on improving throughput, reducing latency, and maintaining stable performance in bandwidth-heavy environments.

At the core of the FCE870Q is support for key Wi-Fi 7 features, including 4K 4096-QAM and 320MHz enhanced multi-link single radio (eMSLR). Together, these technologies increase throughput and improve efficiency compared to earlier Wi-Fi generations, enabling smoother 4K and 8K streaming and more responsive real-time applications. The module also integrates Bluetooth 6.0, adding Channel Sounding for more accurate distance measurement and proximity detection.

For broader wireless coverage and reliability, the module uses 2×2 MIMO and supports tri-band Wi-Fi across 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz frequencies. It also includes dual-mode Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy audio support, with compatibility for 2Mbps BLE and BLE Long Range, making it suitable for both high-speed and low-power communication scenarios.

Beyond connectivity, the FCE870Q includes High Accuracy Distance Measurement (HADM), which enables precise ranging and location-based applications. The module measures 15.0mm × 13.0mm × 1.8mm, uses a pin antenna interface, and is rated to operate in industrial conditions between -30°C and +85°C, making it suitable for embedded and industrial deployments.

Alongside the module, Quectel is offering compatible antenna options, including the YECN009AA and YEBT002W1AM, designed to work with the FCE870Q to improve RF performance and simplify integration. The bundled antenna ecosystem is intended to reduce development effort and streamline certification for manufacturers building connected devices.
