- Coordinate with internal and external EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) partners for PCB fabrication, assembly, and box-builds.
- Plan, monitor, and support production schedules, line loading, and assembly workflows to meet delivery timelines.
- Supervise or support assembly, soldering, wiring, crimping, and mechanical integration of avionics subassemblies.
- Ensure all production activities follow aerospace manufacturing standards (IPC, J-STD, etc.) and quality control procedures.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production defects, non-conformities, or rework.
- Assist in developing work instructions, SOPs, and quality checklists for production processes.
- Coordinate in-process inspections, first-article inspections, and production readiness reviews.
- Maintain traceability of parts, serial numbers, and production records in compliance with AS9100/ISO standards.
- Work closely with QA, SCM, and testing teams to ensure smooth handoffs from production to validation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, rework, and cost.
Skills Required
Technical & Functional Skills:
- Good understanding of electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly processes, and avionics integration.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, and inspection practices per aerospace standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, etc.).
- Familiarity with manufacturing documentation, assembly drawings, and revision control.
- Knowledge of electrical testing, continuity checks, and use of basic lab tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
- Experience in coordinating with vendors/EMS partners and managing production workflows.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-reliability production environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ownership and accountability for quality and timelines.
Educational Qualification:
