Many temperature sensitive medications such as insulin and GLP 1 require strict handling to remain effective. Exposure to temperatures outside recommended ranges can reduce potency, while missed or untracked doses can affect treatment outcomes. As chronic care increasingly moves outside clinical settings, there is a growing need for solutions that combine physical protection with accurate medication tracking.

TempraMed Technologies has introduced VIVI Cap Smart, expanding its existing temperature protection platform with integrated digital health functionality. The device builds on the passive temperature control used in earlier VIVI products and adds features to support daily medication management through optional mobile connectivity.

VIVI Cap Smart maintains medication integrity using a fully passive, power free thermal shield and adds a digital layer that records injection timing and usage data. The system is designed to support individuals using insulin and GLP 1 pens, enabling better adherence monitoring and data sharing with healthcare providers.

Key features include:

Ron Nagar, Chief Executive Officer of TempraMed Technologies, says, “Earlier, our focus was protecting medication from temperature damage. With this release, we are also addressing the daily challenge of managing injections and adherence.”
