Key Responsibilities
Overview:
- The Electronics CoE team (Interiors) works on various aspects of product lifecycle of aircraft products including Galley Refrigeration/Beverage makers/Ovens/Lighting and other aircraft cabin products. This role is for a candidate who will be responsible for working on sustenance and component obsolescence related design/redesign tasks.
- Hands-on experience with board and component level testing and lab test equipment is preferred.
Primary responsibilities:
- Performs analytical system design, calculations and simulations. Develops concept for redesigning cabin products for complex obsolescence issues by understanding customer requirements and the aircraft standards
- Performing detailed comparison of obsolete components and the new components selection and analyzing the circuitry impact. In many cases this extends to qualifying the parts in different PCB assemblies.
- Initiating the Engineering change for the alternate parts in based on SBU process
- Good experience in IHS/Silicon Expert is required.
- Should be able to provide the alternative parts, process, material in the existing design.
- Understanding the PCB design process & the Assembly standards.
- Ensures compliance with RTCA D0-160 regulatory specifications and customer requirements
- Excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications
- 6-9 yrs of relevant Industry experience in Embedded/Analog design/Digital design with Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics/Electronics & Communication
Primary Skills:
- Detail-oriented and accountable
- 5+ years’ Experience in Electrical CAD tools (Altium, Pspice, Allegro, LTspice, Mathcad, MATLAB, and Simulink)
- 5+ years in Embedded, Analog and Digital Circuit design
- Fundamental knowledge of EMI/EMC design and Testing.
- Experience in debugging product test failures.
- Experience with component selection for various electronics products, Fan speed control, Power supply, EMI filter, sensors selection and control loop design
- Knowledge of RRCA, Fishbone, DO-254, DO-160 Process.
