Compact industrial motherboard integrates next-gen processors, high-speed memory, and rich I/O for AI-driven edge deployments.

A new Thin Mini-ITX motherboard by Avalue Technology Inc. has entered the industrial computing space, targeting advanced AI workloads and automation at the edge. Designed for compact embedded environments, the board combines next-generation processing with high-bandwidth connectivity and flexible expansion to support smart manufacturing, robotics, and intelligent systems.
At its core, the platform is built around Intel’s latest Panther Lake H-series processors, enabling improved AI acceleration and compute efficiency for edge applications. It supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory, delivering the high-speed data handling required for real-time analytics and machine vision workloads.
The key features are:
- Intel Panther Lake H processors for AI and edge computing
- Up to 64GB DDR5 memory with high-speed support
- PCIe Gen5/Gen4 M.2 expansion for storage and modules
- Multi-display support with HDMI, DP, USB-C, LVDS, eDP
- Dual LAN (including 2.5GbE) and rich industrial I/O interfaces
The board also emphasises display and graphics versatility, featuring integrated Intel Xe LPG graphics and support for multiple high-resolution outputs, including HDMI, DisplayPort, USB Type-C, LVDS, and eDP. This enables multi-display deployments across industrial control systems and digital signage use cases.

For expansion and storage, the design incorporates multiple M.2 slots with PCIe Gen5 and Gen4 support, allowing high-speed NVMe storage and additional modules such as Wi-Fi or WWAN. This flexibility is key for edge AI systems that require both performance scaling and connectivity options.
Connectivity is further strengthened with dual Ethernet ports, including 2.5GbE, along with a wide range of USB and serial interfaces. Industrial-focused features such as multiple COM ports, wide-range DC input (12V–24V), and TPM 2.0 support ensure reliability and security in demanding environments.
With its compact 170mm x 170mm form factor, the board is designed for space-constrained deployments while maintaining robust performance. It supports both Windows and Linux operating systems, making it suitable for diverse embedded and industrial ecosystems.
Overall, the platform positions itself as a scalable solution for next-generation edge AI and automation systems, balancing performance, connectivity, and industrial-grade durability.
