Anti Jamming GNSS Receiver for Battlefield Use

When signals disappear and systems lose sync, a compact receiver quietly keeps navigation, timing, and coordination intact in environments where interference dominates.

Designed for modern battlefield conditions where GNSS signals are increasingly targeted, the TopStar Smart Receiver integrates three critical functions into a single unit: positioning, navigation, and timing. This convergence reduces system complexity while ensuring seamless operation across land vehicles, unmanned systems, and guided munitions.

At the core of the system is a dual constellation GNSS receiver that combines military grade signals, Galileo PRS, and civilian GPS inputs. This multi source approach enhances accuracy and availability while improving resilience against spoofing attempts. Complementing this is an adaptive anti jamming capability based on CRPA technology, which dynamically suppresses interference and enables reliable operation even in proximity to high power jammers, significantly extending usable range compared to conventional receivers.

Another critical feature is its integrated high performance clock, which maintains synchronization of tactical communications systems for up to 48 hours in the event of GNSS signal loss. This capability is particularly relevant in denied environments, where maintaining coordinated operations without external signals is essential.

From a deployment perspective, the receiver’s miniature and lightweight design allows flexible integration into space constrained platforms, supporting the growing need for distributed and mobile defence systems. Its compact form factor also contributes to lower integration costs, making it viable across a broader range of applications.

Manufactured within a sovereign European industrial ecosystem, the solution reflects a strategic emphasis on technological autonomy in defence electronics. It is currently available for real world evaluation and testing.

“Powered by cutting edge technologies, the TopStar Smart Receiver delivers resilient, high performance Position, Navigation and Timing capabilities for land platforms, drones and munitions,” said Florent Chauvancy, VP Flight Avionics, Unit Managing Director. “Innovative, reliable, competitive and compact, it ensures mission continuity in the most demanding operations.”
