European Engineering & Consultancy Ltd (EECL) has introduced the DIV-100-10-SQ, a frequency divider module that converts 100MHz reference signals to 10MHz for laboratory and test equipment. The module adds very little phase noise and low additive jitter, helping maintain reference signal quality and timing accuracy.

The module is designed for systems that need to connect modern 100MHz reference outputs to equipment that accepts 10MHz signals. It connects directly to an instrument’s BNC port, reducing the need for extra cables and helping maintain signal quality.

The DIV-100-10-SQ provides selectable sine-wave or square-wave outputs through a side-mounted switch. This allows engineers to select the signal type required by the receiving instrument. It accepts both sine-wave and square-wave inputs across a wide range of signal levels and provides a high-power 10MHz output.

The module is powered through USB and comes in a compact, shielded enclosure for laboratory and test setups. The housing also helps with signal protection and makes the unit easier to integrate into different systems.

The divider is designed for RF testing, satellite communications, precision timing, phase-locked loops (PLLs), and frequency synthesizers. It can connect equipment that provides 100MHz reference signals with instruments that use 10MHz reference inputs. Laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators commonly use 10MHz reference signals, while some newer systems use 100MHz references.

Its low phase noise helps maintain the quality of the 100MHz reference signal during frequency division, while low additive jitter helps maintain timing accuracy in reference and synchronization systems. The module also supports a wide input range for different signal levels and provides a strong 10MHz output for connected equipment.
