A power supply supports medical, industrial, charging, energy storage, and data centre systems with safety, cooling, monitoring, and parallel operation.

RECOM has expanded its AC/DC power supply portfolio with the RACM3000-M series, which delivers up to 3000W of output power for medical, industrial, energy, and infrastructure applications.
The power supplies operate from a 90V to 264V AC input, with full output power available from 180V to 264V AC. RECOM also plans RDC3000-M variants with a 400V to 800V DC input for systems that use higher-voltage DC power.
The RACM3000-M series includes a CAN bus interface for monitoring and control. It also provides a 5V/2A standby output, Remote On/Off, Remote Sense, and a DC-OK signal. Active load sharing allows multiple units to operate in parallel when a system requires more power. Optional integrated OR-ing field-effect transistors (FETs) can be used to support parallel operation. A temperature-controlled fan manages cooling based on operating conditions.
The power supplies meet UL/IEC 60601 requirements for medical equipment, UL/IEC 62368 requirements for industrial and information and communications technology (ICT) equipment, and IEC 60335-2-29 requirements for charging applications. They provide 2MOPP isolation for applications requiring electrical separation for operator and patient protection.
The RACM3000-M series extends RECOM’s existing range of AC/DC power supplies. The RACM1200-V series provides a platform for applications requiring up to 1200W, while the new series is aimed at systems with higher power requirements and includes communication and parallel-operation functions.
The supplies can be used in battery chargers, collaborative robots (cobots), automated medical analysis and diagnostic equipment, machine-control systems, communication infrastructure, energy-storage systems, and data centres.
“Many modern applications require not only higher power, but also much tighter integration of the power supply into the overall system. With the RACM3000-M, we offer developers a platform that combines high output power with intelligent communication and flexible scalability,” says Michael Schrutka, Product Manager at RECOM.
