Indian Made Sensor Faucet Having IR Sensor Controlled Valve

By using an Infra-Red (IR) sensor, the valve regulates the flow of water by detecting the presence of obstruction in the form of human hands

A sensor faucet helps a user access tap water for drinking or handwashing purposes without the need to touch the tap, ensuring the tap and its surrounding areas remain germ-free. Made 100 per cent in India and developed in in-house R&D lab with extensive field testing, the sensor faucet presents an optimal solution for modern cleaning applications.

The sensor faucet uses an Infra-Red (IR) sensor-controlled valve that allows or restricts the flow of water by detecting the presence of a user’s hands. The controller works on AC and DC power, and has an in-built rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack that remains fully charged using AC mains power with a capacity for over 20,000 operations on a single charge. It incorporates 28 kHz sensing technology for accurate and fast hand sensing. The product works perfectly even with sunlight (which has IR rays) falling on the sensor eye. The sensor faucet controller is completely plug-and-play and only requires the sensor eye to be fitted inside the sensor tap body.

Sensor faucets also promote water conservation, allowing the flow of only the required amount of water.

The product has been launched by Systellar Innovations. The company also plans to soon launch its own sensor faucet range in the market.
