Responsibilities by Experience Level
3 to 5 Years of experience
- Execute DDR validation test plans and report failures.
- Create and maintain basic to intermediate validation test cases.
- Debug functional failures using logs, register dumps, and firmware traces.
- Support silicon bring-up and memory initialisation activities.
- Work with senior engineers to analyse DDR training, boot, and stress failures.
- Develop scripts for test automation, log parsing, and validation support.
Key Deliverables
- DDR validation test plans and test case documents.
- Test execution reports and validation status updates.
- Debug reports with root-cause analysis and recommended fixes.
- Firmware changes, debug patches, or test firmware enhancements.
- Automation scripts for validation execution and log analysis.
- Defect reports with clear reproduction steps, failure signatures, and supporting data.
- Silicon bring-up and platform readiness reports.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, VLSI, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a hands-on validation engineer with strong DDR protocol knowledge, solid silicon debug skills, and the ability to work across firmware, hardware, and system-level environments. They should be comfortable debugging complex issues during silicon bring-up, creating meaningful validation test cases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality DDR subsystem validation.
