As an Engineer – Tenders & Projects, you will support the Lead Engineer in delivering high-quality technical solutions for tenders and ongoing projects. You will ensure alignment with internal standards and client requirements. Your work will directly contribute to NKT’s high-voltage cable systems across international markets.
Your Responsibility Will Be To
- Review design basis and technical specifications, raising clarifications as needed
- Plan and execute activities related to your assigned work module
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery
- Prepare technical documentation and support cost and risk assessments
- Maintain continuous communication with the Lead Engineer for holistic project alignment
You will report to the Engineering Manager – Tenders & Projects and collaborate with global teams. The role is based in Chennai and includes onboarding travel to Sweden and occasional international travel thereafter.

You Also Have
- A master’s degree in electrical engineering, specializing in High Voltage or Power Systems
- 2–3 years of experience in HV product or cable system design in a multinational setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MATLAB, Comsol, and Windchill PLM
- Experience working with European teams and international standards
- Knowledge of AutoCAD
