A compact system combining CPU, GPU and NPU acceleration is designed to support local AI inference and edge computing tasks.

ASUS has announced the NUC 16 Pro Mini PC, a next-generation Copilot+ system designed for creators, developers, and professionals. The benefit for users is clear: versatile AI acceleration in a compact form factor that delivers faster graphics, improved efficiency, and enterprise-grade security. With support for local deployment of customized AI models, the device also enhances data privacy while enabling continuous AI-assisted workflows.
The advantages extend to speed, connectivity, and resilience. Equipped with up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor, integrated Intel Arc B390 GPU, and a 50 TOPS NPU, the system achieves up to 180 Platform TOPS for real-time inference. This translates into 1.5 times faster graphics and 20 percent higher performance compared to earlier models, while consuming 50 percent less power. Dual 2.5G LAN ports provide redundancy, while Intel WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 deliver low-latency wireless connections. Enterprise-grade protection is reinforced with Zero Trust security and integrated fTPM 2.0.
At the feature level, the device supports up to 96GB of LPDDR5x memory, a dual-fan thermal design with advanced heat dissipation, and a rugged chassis tested to U.S. MIL-STD-810H standards. The compact 0.7-liter form factor includes ASUS Tool-less Chassis 2.0 for easy upgrades, multiple HDMI and DisplayPort options for multi-monitor setups, and a wide range of USB and Thunderbolt 4 ports.
With these capabilities, the NUC 16 Pro positions itself as a balance of speed, efficiency, and reliability for edge computing and enterprise AI. ASUS emphasizes its AI SuperBuild software as a defining feature, enabling secure, offline intelligence that supports continuous productivity in demanding environments.
