  • The converter is ideal for COM port and sensor isolation in industrial and building automation, datacomms, and IoT applications.
  • With full-line and load regulation, on/off control, and comprehensive protection against various electrical issues, this converter ensures reliability and efficiency in every application.

RECOM has recently launched a product in power conversion, setting new benchmarks in power density, with affordability, and performance. The RxxC1TF isolated DC/DC converter is offering tightly regulated and selectable outputs at 3.3V or 5V. This product is housed in a compact 12-pad LGA surface mount package, with dimensions of merely 5 x 4mm,, making it an ideal solution for space-constrained applications.

The converter is designed to deliver an output of 200mA up to an ambient temperature of 80°C, with derating extending up to 125°C. It operates over an input range of 3 to 5.5VDC, ensuring versatility and compatibility with a wide range of power sources. Despite its small size, the converter boasts an isolation ratin. It is particularly suited for COM port and sensor isolation in industrial and building automation, datacomms, and IoT applications. The key features are:

  • Full line and load regulation,
  • Low profile (1.18mm)
  • On/off control
  • Selectable outputs (3.3V or 5V)
  • Comprehensive protection against: Input under-voltage, Over-temperature, Output overload and short circuits
  • Low isolation capacitance at 5pF typical

Matthew Dauterive MSc., Product Manager DC/DC of RECOM, commented on the product’s launch, stating, “This DC/DC packs high-level isolation and tight regulation into a tiny package, making it perfect for space-constrained applications.” The company is offering a three-year warranty on the converter. Samples and OEM pricing are available from authorized distributors or directly from the company, making it accessible for businesses and developers to incorporate this advanced technology into their projects.
