Metcal has launched the BVX-250 Fume Extraction System. The portable, 2-port fume extractor boasts a HEPA filtration system with 99.97% efficiency, marking a significant performance enhancement over its predecessors. The device introduces new features that streamline filter replacement, air exhaustion, and operator interaction, enhancing usability and overall user experience.

The device features a patented, front-facing main filter and an easily accessible pre-filter drawer, allowing quick and effortless filter changes without needing to dismantle the top or adjust the system’s arms. Filters can now be replaced in under 30 seconds—a substantial improvement compared to other models on the market.fu

Additionally, the system includes a patented, removable 360˚ rotating exhaust diverter, enabling users to customize the exhaust flow away from the workspace or integrate the system directly with existing ventilation setups. “These systems are used in various settings, and the ability to personalize the exhaust direction significantly enhances the user experience,” explained Can La, Product Director at Metcal.

Enhancing its user-friendly design, the BVX-250 also introduces a large LED status ring. It integrates with Metcal’s CV and GT soldering systems for real-time filter status updates directly from the soldering or fume extraction unit.
