Signify has introduced Philips VitaUp in India. This product promotes well-being by delivering a low-intensity UVB indoors for long periods. VitaUp is designed to support health by promoting strong bones and teeth, boosting immune function, enhancing mood, and improving cognitive performance. With people spending more time indoors, the need for healthy indoor environments is increasing. VitaUp addresses this by using light to stimulate Vitamin D production, contributing to better health.

Research shows that about 50% of the global population faces Vitamin D deficiency, a problem worsened by limited exposure to sunlight. A study conducted in Sunderland using similar technology showed that low-intensity UVB exposure increases Vitamin D levels. These findings and data from outdoor exposure studies and VitaUp demonstration rooms confirm the device’s ability to provide a safe and effective UVB dose. The exposure is comparable to a 15-minute walk in midday sunlight two to three times a week.

Philips VitaUp also supports emotional well-being through its UVB delivery. It includes features like an integrated proximity sensor and an 8-hour timer to ensure safe and easy use.

Philips VitaUp is built for long-term use, with thermal protection to support its lifespan. Its design ensures reliability and consistent benefits for users.

Philips VitaUp supports Zhaga LEX-M form factor and SNS accessories for integration and control and works with DALI and MasterConnect through an isolated port. It includes diagnostics for operation time and fault detection to enable smooth operation.

Mr. Munish Peshin, Head of Offer Management, Professional Business, Signify Geater India, said, “We are excited to introduce Philips VitaUp to our customers in India. This product results from extensive research and development, aiming to bring the benefits of natural sunlight indoors. With its MasterConnect compatibility and simple design, Philips VitaUp enables daily UVB dose throughout the darker months of the year, enhancing overall well-being and productivity.”
