High Flexibility Microcontroller Series With Rich Analogue Features

It runs up to 48 MHz at high operating temperature, under 2.4V to 5.5V wide operating voltage with high immunity capability

Providing rich analogue and digital peripherals in SSOP20, TSSOP28 packages, especially for small form factor applications is the NuMicro M0A21/M0A23 series from Nuvoton that offers up to 18 IO pins in SSOP20 and up to 26 IO pins in TSSOP28 with optimised pin functions. It is a 32-bit Arm Cortex-M0 high-performance microcontroller for automotive and industrial applications.

The NuMicro M0A21/M0A23 runs up to 48 MHz at up to 125 degrees Celsius operating temperature, under 2.4V to 5.5V wide operating voltage with high immunity capability.

Its IO pins can be assigned to multiple digital functions, including CAN 2.0B interface, UART, I2C, SPI, Timer, LIN, PWM. Additionally, it provides:

  •  Up to 17 channels of 12-bit ADC
  • 2 set comparators
  • 5-bit DAC to reduce components
  • PCB size of end products

NuMicro M0A21/M0A23 could be suitable for the battery management system (BMS), automotive ultrasonic radar control, automotive lighting, automotive body control and power applications.

The series features:

  • 32 KB flash
  • 4 KB SRAM
  • 4 sets of 32-bit timers
  • 6-ch of PWM
  • 1 set of CAN 2.0B interface supported CAN bootloader firmware update function
  • 2 sets of LIN
  • 5 sets of PDMA
  • 2 sets of UART support single-wire transmission, infrared and RS485 functions.

2 sets of Nuvoton patented Universal Serial Communication Interface (USCI) can be flexibly defined as UART, SPI or I2C.

Multiple IDEs are supported, including the Keil MDK Nuvoton Edition, IAR EWARM and NuEclipse amongst which, the Keil MDK Nuvoton Edition (for NuMicro Cortex-M0 family) and NuEclipse are free-to-use. Besides, easy-to-use software development tools including PinView, PinConfig to speed up the development time for time to market.
