Smart Tweezers For Soldering Platform

Soldering tools with Precise and fast performance, along with built-in intelligent tips that help enhance productivity.

Weller Tools have launched WXsmart Tweezers for the WXsmart Soldering Platform, which the company claims to be designed to fulfill a range of soldering and desoldering requirements, from miniaturization to heavy-duty applications, as well as traceability and connectivity needs. The desoldering tweezers claim to be a solution for speedy and precise Surface Mount Devices (SMD) rework, including chip components and Small Outline Packages (SOP) of small to medium size from Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assemblies. According to the press release issued by the company, the desoldering tweezers are also a good choice for desoldering SMDs such as Quad flat pack (QFP), Plastic leaded chip carriers (PLCC) and Small outline integrated circuits (SOIC) in heavy-duty applications.

According to the company’s claim, the tweezers are high-performance tools equipped with built-in intelligence and impeccably calibrated tips, all designed to help save time. Additionally, the tweezers come with the feature of color lighting for fast tool identification. The company says the new soft grip design greatly enhances ergonomics, making repetitive and uniform tasks significantly easier. The press release highlights that the tweezers feature a short-distance tip-to-grip and parallel sliding block designed to deliver enhanced precision and comfort during working. Moreover, the pre-adjusted pairwise tip design increases productivity as the tool is ready to use right out of the box.

Some of the key features of Tweezers include :

  • Extremely short heat-up time: 5 sec/10 sec
  • Maximum precision during the soldering process with short tip-to-grip distance and optimized tip design
  • Precise positioning with a unique parallel sliding block guide
  • Adjustability functions with Allen key: 1.5mm possible if needed
  • Temperature range °C : 100 – 450
  • Power consumption: 80 W/150W
  • Mains supply voltage: 12 V-AC/24V-AC
  • Safety rest: WSR 210
