Flex Power Modules introduces a series of DC/DC converters, and explores their versatile features, including pre-biased start-up and remote control, along with robust protective measures.

Flex Power Modules has launched their PKU4317D series of DC/DC converters in an industry-standard, low-profile, 1/16th brick format. These converters are versatile and efficient, with a maximum power output of 260W and a typical efficiency of 96.1% at 48Vin and a 50% load. Standard features of these converters include pre-biased start-up and remote control, enhancing their usability and flexibility. They are equipped with protective measures to guard against over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature conditions.

The key features include:

  • Dimensions: 33.02 x 22.86 x 11.3 mm
  • Input Voltage Range: 48 – 60 VDC
  • Output Voltage: 12 VDC
  • Rated Output Current: 25 A
  • Rated Output Power: 300 W
  • Output Voltage Range (Vout): 3.3 – 12 V

It achieves these high power and efficiency levels by utilising hybrid-regulated ratio technology. This series offers the choice of a baseplate or the option of surface mount device (SMD) pins for added versatility. It meets safety requirements in accordance with IEC/EN/UL 62368-1. It is fully protected against overtemperature, input under voltage, and output over-voltage, over-current, and short circuits. It supports start-up into a pre-biased load and maintains monotonic performance. A remote-control input is provided for added convenience and functionality.
