Conformance testing is very critical for industry standard products and conformance testing systems are required for confirming whether the product implementation complies with the requirements of a specification, technical standard, contract, or regulation. RF conformance testing systems use a set of 3GPP defined test cases to certify that the product under test complies with the 3GPP standard. These tests ensure that the commercial wireless devices comply with the latest 3GPP specifications and operate as expected on mobile networks.

Anritsu’s new radio RF conformance test system ME7873NR is certified to meet the GCF Test Platform Approval Criteria (TPAC) for 5G NR RF conformance performance tests for the FR2 (mmWave) band. The ME7873NR is an automated system for 3GPP TS 38.521/TS 38.533 5G NR RF and RRM tests. It supports both 5G NR standalone and non-standalone mode. The non-standalone mode uses the existing 4G LTE network infrastructure to enable 5G. While the standalone mode deploys 5G NR network without any dependency on the existing 4G LTE networks.

Moreover, the ME7873 NR covers all the 5G frequency bands, along with the FR2 (mmWave) band, in combination with the CATR Anechoic Chamber MA8172A.
