As we were eager to find out IoT service providers in India working exclusively on real-world aspects such as smart lighting and smart city solutions, we came across Jayakrishnan K B; co-founder at Bengaluru-based Wisys Technologies that considers smart lighting, smart water metering, and more as their key strengths.
We spoke to Jayakrishnan during the recently concluded India Electronics Week (IEW 2017); here are excerpts from our interaction.
Q. What is your organisation’s USP with respect to IoT?
A. Low Cost Business-to-Business (B2B model), patented technology, along with End to End solutions.
Q. What are the key technologies that you are working on?
A. Smart Lighting, Data loggers, and Smart Water Metering.

Q. What niche do you intent to be a leader in?
A. Smart Lighting.
Q. What are the major features or projects that your team is currently involved in?
A. Smart Streetlighting.
Q. Whom do you target as clients?
A. As we are focusing on smart lighting now, our clients will be light manufacturing companies.

Q. How many engineers do you currently have, and how many do you intend to hire in the next twelve months?
A. We currently have six engineers on board. We plan to hire three more over the next twelve months.
Q. Do you have an training/internship programme?
A. Yes, we do offer internship programs at Wisys.
