JOB: Engineer, Electrical Design At Molex In Bengaluru

We are currently building our in-house Engineering staff and are looking for a talented Wireless Charger Design Engineer to join our team. In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the design engineering of new and existing Media Modules and Smart Chargers for automotive products from concept to production.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop wireless charging solutions from concept to prototypes
  • Experience with design for EMC compliance and related EMI issue resolution
  • Experience in board bring-up and prototype testing
  • Experience with schematic capture and layout techniques using Altium Designer or similar e-cad tools
  • Strong background of design support tools, including simulation, WCCA (worst case circuit analysis), DFMEA, design reviews,
  • Thorough documentation and revision control practices
  • Create custom electrical/electronic designs for automotive applications
  • Create/complete block diagrams, schematics, PCB layout, component selection, worst case circuit analysis, testing, and design verification
  • Develop design validation plans (DVP), obtain customer approval, and initiate all laboratory, bench, and simulated product-tests in compliance with the DVP
  • Support customer’s in-vehicle tests on electrical hardware systems
  • Use risk reduction tools to perform simulations
  • Use knowledge of material costs and costing processes to determine the impact on designs
  • Design for maximum cost effectiveness while meeting all customer performance requirements
  • Ensure that the product design complies with all product requirements and final customer specifications
  • Interface with the intra departmental development teams such as electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and marketing
  • Interface with customers and other Molex engineering groups and suppliers
  • Lead design review meetings
  • Support all APQP activities, including D/ PFMEA
  • Understand, support, and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures

Education

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering or equivalent science degree WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferred 4 or more years of experience in hands on design in wireless charging or wireless power transferring products.
