This 60V UPS with supercapacitor solution provides uninterpreted power supply for industrial systems for DC voltage applications.

FEAS GmbH, a german-based manufacturer of industrial power electronics, has come up with new UPS with range with a 60V model. The module, named SSE6030, extends the company’s offering of supercapacitor solutions for industrial 24V, 48V and 60V systems.
This new 60V module enables uninterruptible power supply in demanding DC voltage applications – from automation technology to telecommunications infrastructures.
The SSE6030 relies on supercapacitors rather than batteries, eliminating the need for batteries. The supercapacitor technology allows maintenance-free operation. It also functions under a wider range of temperature of up to -30°C to +55°C, for industrial settings.
The module holds high power density in a compact design format by storing 24.1 Wh (86.2 kJ) and typically offers 158 seconds of buffer time at 4A current draw. This period allows equipment either to complete a controlled shutdown or to switch over an emergency supply, reducing the risk of data loss or hardware damage during outages.
The aluminium housing on this module offers protection against environmental influences such as moisture, vibrations, etc., making it ideal for harsh industrial environments. The parallel switchability of multiple modules also allows for scalable solutions.
Key features:
- Voltage support: 60V module added to existing 24V and 48V options, covering all standard industrial DC levels.
- Energy storage: 24.1 Wh (86.2 kJ).
- Buffer time: Approx. 158 seconds at 4 A load.
- Technology: Uses supercapacitors instead of batteries.
- Temperature range: Operates from −30 °C to +55 °C.
- Housing protection: Aluminum body, resistant to moisture, dust and vibrations.
Efficiency during mains operation is listed at 98%, reducing power losses and supporting energy-efficient installations.
