Industrial machines need strong, reliable power. This supply works in tough conditions, saves energy, and lets users check and control it from anywhere.

Industrial systems like test and measurement equipment, semiconductor fabrication tools, additive manufacturing machines, printers, lasers, and RF power amplifiers need reliable, flexible, and high-power supplies. The TDK-Lambda TPS4500 addresses this by delivering up to 4500 W in single- or dual-output versions, with outputs that can share loads in any ratio or be connected in series or parallel to increase voltage or power, providing adaptability for complex industrial setups.
It handles high-voltage three-phase inputs, removing the need for costly step-down transformers and helping balance phase load currents. Remote monitoring and control via PMBus allow users to track key parameters like output voltage, current, temperature, fan speed, and status signals, while adjusting output voltage, overcurrent limits, and on/off control. Additional features like isolated AC Fail, DC Good, dropped phase signals, remote on/off, remote sense, and a 12 V/0.3 A standby supply enhance operational safety and oversight.
The TPS4500 operates efficiently starts at -40 °C, and runs reliably from -10 °C to +70 °C, with load derating above 50 °C. Its compact 107 × 85 × 335 mm enclosure fits standard 2U racks, simplifying integration into existing industrial systems.
Safety and compliance are robust, with IEC/UL/CSA/EN62368-1 certification, CE and UKCA marks, EN55032-A emissions compliance, IEC 61000-4 immunity, and SEMI F47-0706 at 480 Vac. Isolation ratings include 3 kVac input-to-output, 2 kVac input-to-ground, and 500 Vdc output-to-ground.
Some of the main features of the TDK-Lambda TPS4500 include:
- 93 % efficiency (typical)
- 360 – 528, Delta or Wye 3-phase inputs
- PMBus communications interface for remote programming and monitoring
- Compliant to IEC 62477-1 (OVC III)
Built for harsh industrial environments, the TPS4500 meets MIL-STD-810H standards for vibration, shock, and logistics, ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions.
