Hikvision has introduced its Video & Audio Convergence Solution, which combines video surveillance, access control, alarms, and audio broadcasting into a single platform for real-time security monitoring and response. By linking Hikvision IP speakers with cameras and other security devices, organizations can automatically trigger audio warnings when unauthorized activity is detected, helping prevent incidents before they escalate.
The solution is designed for facilities such as warehouses, factories, office buildings, retail stores, schools, and transportation hubs. It enables security teams and facility operators to monitor sites, issue warnings, communicate with people on-site, and manage security events through a coordinated video and audio system.
When Hikvision cameras detect an intrusion or a connected alarm is activated, the system can immediately play pre-recorded warning messages through Hikvision IP speakers. These automated announcements can discourage unauthorized entry while security personnel assess the situation. At the same time, video footage of the event is recorded for investigation and evidence collection.
Operators can also deliver live voice messages through the speakers after receiving alerts. This allows security staff to communicate directly with individuals in specific areas without being physically present. Automatic alarm video pop-ups further help operators verify incidents and respond more quickly.
Beyond intrusion prevention, Hikvision’s Video & Audio Convergence Solution can be used for routine communications across a facility. Operators can schedule announcements, broadcast operational updates, share safety instructions, and deliver emergency messages when needed. By combining surveillance and audio communication on a single platform, the solution supports both security management and day-to-day facility operations.
