Honeywell has expanded its Safety Suite 2.0 software platform with new capabilities that give safety teams greater visibility into portable gas detection devices used across industrial sites and emergency response operations.

The updated platform is designed for refineries, chemical plants, utilities, and first responder organizations that rely on gas detection equipment to monitor worker safety. The new features add historical data analysis, enhanced dashboards, forecasting tools, and real-time monitoring capabilities to help organizations track safety performance, compliance requirements, and device usage.

Using the platform, safety managers can review historical alarm events, identify recurring risk patterns, and investigate incidents from a centralized system. The software also supports workforce safety programs by providing insights that can be used for training and operational improvements.

The latest release introduces customizable dashboards that bring together exposure data, compliance status, and device fleet health into a single view. These dashboards can help organizations measure safety outcomes, prepare for audits, and monitor equipment performance more efficiently.

The platform also delivers real-time notifications to workers, alerting them about critical safety events or upcoming device maintenance requirements such as bump tests. This helps ensure gas detectors remain operational and reduces the likelihood of unexpected downtime.

Another addition is the ability to view live readings from workers’ gas detection devices across multiple sites. Safety teams can monitor conditions as they develop and respond more quickly when hazardous situations arise.

To simplify equipment management, the software includes automated workflows for onboarding, assigning, calibrating, and returning gas detection devices to inventory. These workflows help organizations track devices assigned to individuals, teams, or workers operating across multiple shifts.

Industrial operators can use the platform to improve worker protection, monitor compliance programs, manage gas detection fleets, investigate incidents, and maintain visibility into safety conditions across facilities. Emergency response organizations can also use the system to track equipment readiness and monitor hazardous environments in real time.
