Key Responsibilities
Electronics Test Engineer with experience in product verification, validation, and automated test system development. Proficient in configuring and operating National Instruments (NI) PXI-based test platforms, and performing data acquisition, analysis, and reporting. Experienced in working with three-phase electrical systems, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation of test equipment and products. Skilled in test rig verification and validation (V&V), sensor integration, and preparing technical documentation to ensure products meet quality, reliability, and performance requirements.
- Experience in electronic product design, development & Testing
- Understand system, hardware and software requirements.
- Develop, execute, and maintain functional, verification, validation, endurance, and performance test plans.
- Configure, operate, and troubleshoot National Instruments (NI) PXI-based test systems.
- Configure and manage NI hardware using NI Measurement & Automation Explorer (NI MAX).
- Perform Test Rig Verification and Validation (V&V) to ensure compliance with functional, performance, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) studies, to validate measurement accuracy and system capability.
- Develop validation protocols, test procedures, acceptance criteria, and test specifications for automated test systems.
- Integrate, calibrate, and validate sensors including load cells, proximity sensors, LVDTs etc.
- Work with three-phase electrical systems and power distribution systems during testing, commissioning, and system validation.
- Perform electrical wiring, cable routing, termination, and control panel wiring in accordance with engineering drawings and electrical safety standards.
- Troubleshoot electrical wiring, electro–mechanical systems, sensors, instrumentation, power distribution panels, and test systems using standard diagnostic tools.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Integrate and validate instrumentation, NI DAQ hardware, and communication protocols including CAN, LAN.
- Support the commissioning, qualification, and power up of automated test rigs and validation systems.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare comprehensive test reports, validation reports, data analysis summaries, and technical documentation.
- Develop commissioning documentation, including commissioning checklists, validation records, operating procedures, test protocols, and system handover documents.
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and project teams to resolve technical issues and improve product quality, test methods, and validation processes.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, electrical safety requirements, engineering procedures, and customer specifications.
- Support preventive maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement of automated test systems, instrumentation, and laboratory equipment.
- Configure and troubleshoot industrial Ethernet networks, network routers, managed switches, IP addressing, and communication interfaces used in automated test systems.
