Job Description
- Create, design and layout all custom fixtures, test and inspection equipment, and assembly devices.
- Conceptualize and generate designs, detailed drawings, and models using Solid works software.
- Size and specify mechanical equipment such as hydraulic and pneumatic clamps, pumps, and related components necessary for fixture design.
- Perform all parts of the fixture design process including material selection, creating, and reviewing part specifications, identifying fabrication methods and critical dimensions, and producing bills of sales.
- Perform tolerance stack-ups and limited structural FEA.
- Work independently to create manual fixtures and collaborate with engineers to create complex, semi-automated and automated test fixtures, and manufacturing fixtures, based on requirements.
- Participate in new product development and design for manufacturing (DFM) meetings to assist in the development of fixtures and processes.
- Collaborates with others, is open minded, responsive, and supportive of other efforts to succeed.
- Good English communication skill, both written and spoken.
- Good Presentation and interpersonal skills.
