Key Responsibilities
- Design of circuit schematic, assigning component footprints through package details, placement & routing using standard PCB design tools.
- Working on BOM analysis / scrubbing & alternate part identification for active & passive semiconductor parts using online portals & tools.
- Working under guidance of Hardware Lead & Architects during design & development.
- Liaison with PCB manufacturing & PCBA assembly (EMS) vendors. Getting optimum quote for PCB, components & overall PCBA assembly.
- Conducting initial tests along with board bring-up & system level integration testing under guidance of Hardware Engineers & Architects.
- Getting involved in PCBA field failures RCA / CAPA & identifying the root cause of the failures along with improvement plan / corrective action.
- Ability to create & execute test plan for evaluating the PCBs & PCBAs from functional, electrical, thermal, environmental, reliability, endurance & EMC aspects as well as meeting the expected overall life of the PCBA

Work Experience
- Bachelors/Diploma degree in either Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication or equivalent with overall 3+ years of relevant experience in designing/ building/ engineering/ reverse engineering of semiconductor electronics components, PCBs & PCBAs.
- Detailed understanding of the component datasheet including the different sections along with the various electrical characteristics & component package details.
- Schematics design with industry standard tools (Orcad/Allegro/Altium, etc.)
- Component Engineering and compliance with ROHS, REACH, WEEE.
- Exposure to Engineering Change Management (ECM).
- Able to apply the principles & strategies for EMC during PCB design phase.
- Knowledge in circuit simulation and pre-board design.
- Knowledge of IPC standards for PCB designing, manufacturing & sustenance.
Desired Skills
Basic understanding of the principles of high-speed design & its application during PCB design & development.
