Experience: 25+ years, with at least 5 years leading Core Design Teams (Age: 52–55 years)
Key Responsibilities
Functional:
- Lead design and development of EV traction motors, achieving cost, quality, and reliability targets.
- Innovate new and next-generation starter motor designs.
- Oversee CAD/CAE teams and component specialists.
- Select optimal EV motors based on customer requirements.
- Manage projects with multiple deadlines and ensure timely delivery of e-motor milestones.
- Supervise prototype development, DFMEA preparation, BOM creation, and design reviews.
- Drive warranty cost reduction and application engineering for customer satisfaction.
- Oversee design document control, validations, and change communication.
- Conduct benchmarking and VA/VE to optimize functionality and reduce costs.
- Utilize Motor Design Tools (Motor CAD, SPEED, Motor Solve) effectively.
Essential Knowledge:
- Electric motor design, mechanical design, and vehicle application expertise.
- Proficiency in motor design software and APQP processes.
Managerial:
- Collaborate with OEMs for design reviews and next-gen motor technology innovations.
- Manage core engineering teams, budgets, and R&D objectives.
- Lead design, development, testing, and prototype teams to meet quality, cost, and time goals.
