To rapidly charge anything (2-wheeler to a multi-axle platform) in flat 15 mins, we need to fulfil multiple requirements: 10X accurate voltage sensing, 10X faster cell balancing, scales across voltage platforms (40-800V), CAN sense and handle upwards of 600A and has enough intelligence to manage 100’s of cells and Multiple Chargers in parallel
This needs impeccable hardware design skills and a deeply integrated firmware experience.
Responsibilities
Define the right architecture (Question any existing architecture)
- Get. Set. Production
- Block-diagram to schematics to layouts to characterising it to testing it to working with our manufacturing partner to scale it – you will own this
- Timeline vs. Quality vs. Cost
- Choose the right components at the right price point to meet the specifications and make smart trade-offs
The Ideal Candidate Requires
- Experienced in taking hardware design from concept to production
- Understanding of DFX (DFA, DFM, DFT etc.)
- Good understanding of Power Electronic fundamentals (eg: Voltage across a capacitor can’t change instantaneously)
- Deep understanding of Mosfets, Diodes, Capacitors, and Inductors
- Expertise in AC-DC, DC-DC Converter design
- Expertise in Schematic Design and Simulation study
- Thermal analysis, Tolerance analysis, Stress analysis & cost analysis
- EMI/EMC experience is added advantage
- Understanding of Creepage, Clearance, Insulation
