About the Job
We are seeking a Drone Hardware Engineer with a strong foundation in drone systems, embedded hardware, and prototyping. As a key member of our technical team, you will be involved in designing and developing the hardware architecture of swarm-capable drones.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, assemble, and test multi-rotor drone prototypes.
- Integrate sensors, cameras, GPS modules, and embedded systems into drone platforms.
- Work with flight control systems like PX4 and ArduPilot.
- Collaborate with the software/AI team to enable autonomous capabilities.
- Support development of swarm communication and control systems.
- Conduct flight tests and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Document hardware development processes and system configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with drone assembly and tuning.
- Familiarity with flight control firmware (PX4, ArduPilot), embedded systems, and electronics.
- Experience with simulation tools like Gazebo and frameworks like ROS.
- Basic understanding of wireless communication protocols.
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge of swarm robotics or inter-drone communication systems.
- Experience with drone power systems and custom PCB design.
- Familiarity with computer vision, AI-based navigation, or SLAM.
