Role Responsibilities
- Performs design, simulation and implementation of power electronic converters: Inverters, and DC-DC converters. Optimization studies of different converter topologies with respect to losses, device sizing and selection
- Design, selection, specification, and validation of critical power components (e.g. IGBTs, MOSFETs, Diodes, capacitors, inductors etc.)
- Analyses failures seen on the product and find root causes and implement improvements. The failures can come from the market or production.
- Design of analog and digital electronics including microprocessors/controllers, gate drivers, sensor interfaces and SMPS for power conversion and protection.
- Designing, developing and testing power electronic products.
- Collaborate with mechanical, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully develop and validate the designs up to and including certification and product launch. Utilizes the support of model-based development processes, testing, verification & validation tools.
- Work with supply chain teams and qualify components and assemblies during implementations and resolve issues as needed to maintain product and project quality, cost and deliverables
